West Indies takes 1-0 lead
Lendl Simmons smashed a maiden century as the West Indies posted a 40-run win over Bangladesh in the first One-Day International, here on Thursday to gain a 1-0 lead in the three-match cricket series. The opener scored a 124-ball 122 as the West Indies posted a challenging 298 for four before restricting Bangladesh to 258 for seven in the day-night. Shakib Al-Hasan top-scored for the host with an unbeaten 67.
